Smoke & Slate is a luxury handmade knitwear company based in Connecticut, creating locally made knitwear and knitting kits inspired by quality craftsmanship, the outdoors, and time spent pursuing meaningful hobbies.
For this project, I developed a brand identity, hand-drawn logo, custom illustrations, and packaging design that capture the warmth and craftsmanship behind Smoke & Slate's small-batch products. The visual identity centers around a muted, wool-inspired color palette, organic illustration, and understated typography to create a brand that feels both elevated and inviting.
Inspired by cozy evenings, outdoor adventures, and the tactile nature of handmade knitwear, the resulting identity gives Smoke & Slate a distinctive visual presence that feels refined, artisanal, and connected to nature.
