Buffalo Presbyterian Church is a vibrant community of faith located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Founded in 1756, Buffalo Presbyterian is one of the oldest churches in the area, with a beautiful historic building and rich history of over two and a half centuries.
While BPC had a warm and welcoming community, they realized their visual brand identity was not communicating the strength, faith, and love that their church offers to its memebers, and needed an updated logo and brand that would reflect their core values.
With the architectural structure being an important part of their heritage, we designed a primary logo featuring the church building, beautiful typography, and their mission — a place where God is changing lives. We also created an alternate set of logos featuring a bespoke cross design. With Jesus as the central figure of their faith, they wanted a dynamic set of brand marks that would emphasize the importance of the cross and all that it symbolizes in a unique way for their community.
Beyond the logo designs, we developed a color palette inspired by the North Carolina landscape, a professional brand typography system, and brand patterns featuring the North Carolina's state flower—Dogwood—which symbolizes rebirth, resurrection, and hope.
